Walking for a World without Dementia...

11.3km and 15,508 steps later, I'm back from Oxford after doing the memory walk in aid of Alzheimer's society.

It was such a brilliant day, incredible atmosphere, and was so nice to see everyone club together for such a good cause. I can't wait to see what the total amount raised is for the charity.

To keep everyone in the loop, our team (me, my sister, my mum and my mum's friend) have raised £1160 for the cause. I am so humbled by the support everyone has shown us, and I cannot wait for the day that they announce that they have found a cure for this god awful illness. Today, I walked for a world without Dementia.

Here's just a couple of snaps from the day...

This was our team - mum, my sister, me and Lorraine. "Team JW Girls" - we walked for our Grandad <3

Cheeky selfie on the bus before the walk! Does anyone else despise the beauty filter on the Samsung phones?!

Thought I'd chuck in a little photo of the family - that's my dad on the end!

How cute is this? It's a little 'memory tree', and we got to write on a little tag who we were walking for. It was all very sweet.

Have you got anyone who's suffering with Alzheimer's/Dementia? I'd honestly love to hear from you - talking about it makes it so much easier.
