The Big Journey: Weekly Update

Time for a little check in, a little update, a little chit chat if you will!

The most frustrating thing about a diet is when you step on the scales and see that you haven't lost as much as you thought you would have done. This is me - I weighed myself on the day I started this diet (which is around 2 weeks ago now), and I have re-weighed myself and I have not budged anything. Nothing. Nada.

I have spoken to a lot of people about it, and everyone had reassured me that the weight will come off soon. It's just very disheartening to read the scales and them not be any different. Before this diet I would snack on crisps and chocolate every day in between meals, which is something I have cut out completely - I'm sticking to having just three meals a day, and if I do get hungry eating a piece of fruit.

Another thing is what I am eating for my meals. Like last week's update said, I eat a bigger breakfast, have something small for lunch, and then finish the day with chicken and veg (and usually fruit and yoghurt for dessert). I also do my exercise at least two times a week on top of all the walking I do every day - I don't really know where I'm going wrong?

One thing I'm going to start doing more is drinking a lot more water. In my first week I was so good at drinking an appropriate amount of water, but this past week has been abysmal. I have not drunk nearly enough water, and maybe that's why the scales are still saying the same as they did when I first started. Well I'm hoping it's as simple as that...

So that's my short update for the week (told you they'd get smaller). I hope you enjoyed reading, and please wish me luck for the future - by the looks of things, I'm going to need it!

If you have ANY tips for me, whether that's to do with my eating, my exercise, anything, please feel free to get in touch!
